Howe of Fife RFC (Howe Rugby) is a rugby union club based in Cupar, Fife, Scotland and is part of the Scottish Rugby Union. It was founded in 1921, and they play in blue and white hoops. The mens 1st XV currently play in national league division two. Our women's team, the Howe Harlequins, play in national league division one having been successfully promoted at the end of the 2016/17 season
The Mens 1st XV are currently coached by Gavin Emerson and captained by James Lawrie. The Howe Harlequins is coached by Craig Manson & Ian Cole and captained by Emma Wood.
The Howe run teams from Primary 1 level up to under-18 colts level and a Ladies (Howe Harlequins) and a girls section which includes U12, U15 and U18. Many players have gone on to represent Fife, Caledonia and Scotland at age grade level. With a handful going on to represent professional clubs. This can be down to the experience and skills gained at the Duffus Park. In 2007, current first XV Captain Chris Mason led the under-18 Howe of Fife squad to a unique treble winning both the school (as Bell Baxter High School) and the Club Scottish cups as well as the Scottish schools sevens cup. A number of the players involved in that team, now play for the senior side.
We are a membeship based club and it is important that we receive all payments in a timely manner. For the players it means the clubs insurance is paid, buses and transport organised, etc. For non-playing members it provides access to all the facilities and....
The Community Cafe is open Monday to Saturday 10:00am till 3:00pm and closed Sunday.
Out with these times the Cafe is available for public bookings. All other areas can be booked on the website subject to availability.
The Club President for Season 2020 - 2021 is Gordon Douglas, Senior Mens Captain is Jamie Thomson and Harlequins Captain is Kirsty Wilson.
